The Association of California School Administrators has created a Mental Wellness Toolkit for Educators, and you may recognize a familiar name in the list!
I'm so honored to be recognized by the ASCA and featured in this resource. This toolkit is comprised of development programs, trainings, and publications to help educators and administrators support the mental wellness of their schools and students.
Understanding trauma and how to lead with mindfulness and empathy are so critical to the success of our schools and students, especially during times like now. You can lean on this toolkit as a guide, a daily practice, or a resource for raising the important questions and starting the dialogue on social-emotional learning in our schools.
Grant
I realize that much of our professional learning planning for this school year is a wrap. However, our sights for 2020-21 School Year can be powerful and have an emphasis on so much of what this time has taught us. In what ways do we want to be better prepared as leaders? How can our teacher and classrooms be more rooted in SEL & trauma-responsiveness? I'd love to work with you and support you in these ways. In fact, there's even a grant to help bring your "SEL dreams" to fruition. You can learn more about it here.
