Professional Spirituality™ is not about organized religion or formal belief systems.
Professional Spirituality™ is a term I have created to recognize our leadership as being the “Alpha-Energy” in our work, in our schools, and in our organizations. Those who practice professional spirituality recognize that our leadership is a calling of service, a calling to show up as our best and highest selves. We honor that the “inner” reflects the “outer” and we operate from this place of knowingness.
Professional spirituality™ focuses on us—as accomplished professionals—having an active mind and spirit, caring about our work deeply, being purposeful in our work, and having a desire to deepen connection with our colleagues and those we serve in a positive and meaningful way. We serve from our be-ingness and not so much our do-ingness. Thus, ease and flow become the conditioned, natural way of our leadership.
Professional Spirituality is anchored in spiritually conscious and research-based leadership development that results in your self-mastery, healing, and skillfulness. It is leadership development that integrates emotional intelligence competencies (Adult SEL), equity & inclusion, and resilience-building. This allows you to lead from a place of wholeness and empowerment—what I call your “BEingness.” Your BEingness is your embodiment; it’s the driving force of your leadership creativity and presence. It’s the “feeling tone” of how your leadership is experienced (the felt-sense of the heart) by others. When you lead from your BEingness, you lead with your #1 superpower. And you get results and improved outcomes for those you serve and lead.
