Cultivating Courage-Consciousness™

Navigating the long term effects of the pandemic and the dismantling of systemic racism in our organizational cultures requires us to innovate and stay in the discomfort of problem identification and solving. The Dare to Lead: Leadership Intensive Experience (3 days) and The Dare to Lead: Leadership Immersion Program (2 months) deliver the empirically-based Dare to Lead™ program with an inclusion and equity lens. In both, you will be invited to reflect on how we must embrace race and inclusion as a part of our work in order to be more impactful and effective in getting the outcomes we want as an organization. Before an organization can tackle systems, it must first look inward, to the internal conditioning of the men and the women who make up the organization. Courage is the cure!

The Future is NOW
“In the past, jobs were about muscles, now they're about brains,
but in the future they’ll be about the heart.”

Minouche Shafik, London School of Economics

Three Program Choices

In-Person Leadership Intensive Experience

A Three-Day Exclusive Courage-Building Experience

February 23-25, 2023 in Seattle, WA

“This course holds the key to make our academic institutions and mission-based organizations more courageous and equitable."

-Caroline Simard, PhD, Managing Director, Stanford VMware Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab

The Dare to Lead: Leadership Intensive Experience delivers the empirically based Dare to Lead™ courage building program, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, with an inclusion and equity lens. This program is designed to help individuals develop deep self-awareness, increase their level of awareness of others, recognize their impact on others, and finally; articulate their own personal call to courage. This is the critical skill-building our leaders need to challenge inequitable systems, create environments that support innovative problem solving, and lead change in their communities.

THE IN-PERSON INTENSIVE EXPERIENCE

Enjoy Seattle in a retreat-style version of this intensive program. It will take place on February 23-25, 2023 at Seattle Waldorf School, which is located at Magnuson Park with a brewery next door and the water just steps away. These three days will change your life. You will walk away with a greater understanding of yourself, and the tools you need to live out your personal call to courage.  This concentrated experience provides a safe environment for learning and allows you to build meaningful relationships with others that last well beyond the workshop.

The Dare to Lead™ program is designed for individuals and teams who are ready to embrace brave leadership, shed their armor, and show up with whole hearts in their work and life. To scale daring leadership and build courage in teams and organizations, we must cultivate a culture in which brave work, tough conversations, and whole hearts are the expectation, and armor is not necessary or rewarded.

In addition to receiving a certificate of completion, individuals who complete the 24-hour program may put the Dare to Lead™ Trained badge on their LinkedIn account. Participants will also qualify to become Dare to Lead Teams coordinators.
